1. How would you define "evil"? Write your definition of what 'evil' means to you.
2. What makes a person 'evil'? Are they born evil or is evil developed by the environment a person is in?
3. (write your answer to this as a paragraph in the comments section on this blog) What makes people commit evil acts (e.g. murder)? List and explain factors you think makes a person kill. Use full sentences to create a convincing paragraph.
when evil comes to mind it stands out at something worse then bad and thats classified as evil. And when someone lets say your family member kills someone for ruining his life that would be a factor that would want to kill who ever ruined his life. At the time they might be thinking they have nothing to lose becuase they ruined your life and so they think it's ok to kill him. the family member might fell angery or sad or maybe in a depressed state of mind think he lost his one thing that he was proud of, that could be a motive to kill him.
ReplyDeleteI think being evil means to be doing bad things with an evil intent. I also think there is like a scale for evilness. For example just punching someone is a little bit evil but not that bad. Then something like 911 is way worse.

“How would you describe evil?”
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, evil is someone who is bad and does bad things. For example, there is an evil villain who is trying to destroy the world and become ruler of all. Another example is a evil character in a movie or book, like Freddy Krueger,Voldemort, the joker etc... evil is defined as profoundly, immoral and wicked,so for someone to be evil they would have to have done something bad.

DeleteI think what makes people commit bad crimes such as murder is that there mental health might not be that good or they just hate someone that much that they have to kill them. They probably have intentions of killing someone even though that person did nothing to them. I just think its scary knowing that there is people out there in the world having these thoughts.
ReplyDeletei think people commit evil acts because they are annoyed with someone. When they get that angry, they kills the person for no reason.
ReplyDeleteStress getting angry getting annoyed is what makes people kill.
Usually someone who does something evil has had a bad childhood. People evil in history have had poor empathy and a bad sence of morrals. Cereal killer who are evil usually have committed animal abuse when they where young. This shows that they have poor empathy and can't feel sorry for others and they only care about themselves. If someone actually kills someone else deliberately they usually have a reason. The reason is usually not make it ok but to them they feel like they have done something bad enough that makes it ok to kill them. Unless they are a cereal killer and they just enjoy it. Morgan
ReplyDeleteA person who intentionally does an evil act to benefit them or to gain something from it as well as would do it over and over again until they get what they wanted from the start is evil.

DeleteCommitting evil acts such as murder can come from many different factors including mental health conditions, being brought up/surrounded by evil people doing evil things, experiencing extreme feelings such as being extremely angry or upset and also substance abuse such as alcoholism.
ReplyDeleteHaving a mental illness which changes people’s sense of reality or gives them delusions/hallucinations.. For example people who suffer from schizophrenia when having an episode can think and behave very differently and on occasions cause them to do acts which could be considered evil
Excessive drug or alcohol use can also cause people to change the way they think and act. They have more difficulty controlling their emotions and impairs their decision making which can cause them to act in an evil way.
Children who have been mistreated in their life by friends and family and are surrounded by evil acts can often repeat these behaviours as they become normalised behaviours for them. This is seen in the cycle of abuse where children who were abused often go on to abuse others in their lives.
People who experience extreme trauma can also lose control of their behaviour and decision making causing them to act in an evil way.
At times when people are overwhelmed by extreme feelings such as anger or grief they can also react by killing someone.
Evil is the condition of being morally unacceptable or something that causes damage or tragedy.

ReplyDeleteI would define it as “someone repeatedly committing an action that would cause great harm toward groups or individuals” for example on a lower scale bullies in school that act mean and destructive can be considered evil.
Being evil I believe comes from being taught, for example growing up in a bad household will influence bad behavior and most likely this person will not learn bad from good and do “evil” things.
I think that someone that doesn't know the difference from right and wrong and does things that are wrong thinking that there accepted
What makes a person evil? Someone must have intended to do damage by preparing to engage in some morally reprehensible behaviour without the assistance of others. (whether this person successfully executes their plan is beside the point). Eamon

ReplyDeleteI see evil as somone that is purposlly causing truoble or harming others.

I’d say evil is developed by the environment a person is in as being around bad can make you believe that it's normal.
